The Nurse Instructor / Nurse Educator is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff and students. This role ensures that nurses maintain high standards of clinical competence, patient care, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The educator supports continuous professional development and promotes evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training programs for nurses, interns, and healthcare staff
- Conduct classroom lectures, clinical demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions
- Assess learning needs and create customized educational plans
- Evaluate trainees through exams, practical assessments, and performance reviews
- Ensure all training aligns with local healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., DHA, MOH, DOH)
- Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff and students
- Monitor clinical performance and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Stay updated with the latest nursing practices, technologies, and guidelines
- Collaborate with management to improve training programs and patient care quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's Degree in Nursing Education preferred)
- Valid UAE nursing license (DHA / MOH / DOH)
- Certification in teaching or training (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience
- At least 1–2 years in a teaching, training, or educator role
- Experience in hospital or academic settings is an advantage
